About Shelp's Resort Campground

2025 Season: Open May 1 – Oct 15, 2025

Come and relax in this beautiful, fun and friendly environment. We are located on Pine Lake, in Plainwell Michigan. Our RV sites are shaded and grassy with spacious long level pull-thrus and nice private back in sites on the lake each with a dock.

Shelp’s Resort is the place where summer memories are made; catching the biggest fish of the day, floating on a raft in the sun, water gently lapping your toes; staring in the fire, and scaring everyone with ghost stories. 

These are the times to fill up your life with the memories that become family legends your kids will tell their kids.

Luxury RV Available for weekly rentals at Shelp’s Resort on the beautiful all-sports Pine Lake in Plainwell Michigan. This rental is all set-up on site and ready to go!

Special Features

All Sports Lake

Pine Lake is a 660-acre, all-sports lake in Plainwell, MI where you can enjoy boating, tubing, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, kayaking, and paddle boating.

Nightly Campfires

There are 3 separate locations with large fire rings for relaxing, campfire songs, hotdogs, marshmallows, pies, and more.

Pavilion

Large covered pavilion right on the beach! Includes 6 picnic tables to give you coverage on those hot days. The pavilion is available to rent for private functions like birthdays, reunions, and more. Availability is limited - submit requests early!

Free Wireless Internet

We have 5 wifi antennas on the ground to cover camping and thus allow you to remain “connected” via our network

Sandy Beach

DNR designated beach for boat-free safety with swimming, playing, or relaxing on the sandy beachfront. Also, sand volleyball court!

Restrooms & Showers

Located in the center of the camp with men's & women's showers and restroom facilities. Access by provided keypad lock code.

  • Marina
    • Located directly next to Shelp’s Resort is one of our Pine Lake Marina’s with boat fuel & service, pontoon rentals and boat launch.
    • Another local favorite marina is Bil-Mar’s Marina located on the other side of Shelp’s Resort with marina fuel and service
  • Famous Bill’s Hot Dog’s!
    • Some of the best food around!
    • Bill’s famous burgers, specialty hot dogs, Mexican food, and much more!
    • All available at Pine Lake Marina next door. Access by foot, auto or boat.
  • All Sports
    • Boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, pontooning etc.
    • An incredible series of 4 lakes all connected by channels.
    • Make a day of it by anchoring at one of the well known sunken islands (just a foot or two deep) on Lake 4 where you’ll find all kinds of people and boats tied up for the day!

    • New free courts just around the corner at Prairieville Township Park.
